Ed committees pass bills to ban instruction that places blame & taxes to pay for school board association membership

The Arizona House of Representatives and Arizona Senate Education Committees met at 2 p.m. today and approved bills that would prohibit instruction in controversial topics and would prevent school districts from using taxpayer money to pay for membership in school board associations.

With 20 years of non-profit leadership experience, Scott Soldat-Valenzuela is ready to help AZPE grow and expand its services.

Earlier in his career, Scott served as the Executive Director of the SkillsUSA-Arizona association and has since also represented both the Peoria and Fountain Hills chambers of commerce as President/CEO. Most recently he spent over two years as the Executive Director of Kids at Heart–a non profit in Northern Colorado that provides respite services to foster families.
